Schaeffler supports aid organizations in china

The automotive and industrial supplier schaeffler supports local aid organizations in china with a donation of six million rmb, which is equivalent to around 800,000 euro. The company is also contributing financially to the fight against the spread of the new coronavirus in china. The company from herzogenaurach refers to this in a press release.

The money will be used to buy medical products, food and other relief goods for the people in the affected provinces. To provide additional support for its employees in the chinese schaeffler plants, the company is sending an additional 100,000 respirators from germany, it continues.

In the wake of the spread of the new coronavirus, schaeffler had taken all measures early on to protect the health and safety of its employees in and outside of china. Georg F. W. Schaeffler, family shareholder and chairman of the supervisory board of schaeffler AG: "as a global family company, we also take responsibility for our employees and society as a whole. With our mabnahmen we support the local organizations and thus the community in the fight against the epidemic."

Klaus rosenfeld, chairman of the executive board of schaeffler AG, says: "we continue to monitor the situation surrounding the spread of the coronavirus very closely and are in close contact with our local crisis management team and the authorities. The health of our employees is our top priority."
